PhD in Sociology and member of the National System of Researchers – Level 1, of the Mexican National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT). He is a former Economic Affairs Officer of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) Subregional Headquarters in Mexico. He has been a research professor at IPN, UAM, Infotec, Flacso-Mexico, and Tecnológico de Monterrey. During 2014 - 2016, he created and coordinated the Thematic Network "Knowledge Convergence for the Benefit of Society", sponsored by CONACYT. His lines of research articulate the study of innovation processes, technological convergence, and knowledge transfer, industrial and innovation policies, and the role of the State as a productive agent. https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5450-6339
